The three W’s are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you plan to read next?

I am STILL reading All The Tides of Fate. And it’s not that I do not like it, because so far it’s just alright, it’s just that other books are grabbing my attention. I made some progress over the weekend, so that’s a plus. It’s due back to the library in a week so it’s number one priority! Update: I found the audiobook so I am listening when I cannot read and it’s making a big difference!

Lately, before bed, I have been reading my kindle. I wanted a stand alone book to help get me out of my reading rut. Someone suggested The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller and ya know what, I’m all in on this book!!!!! I like that the main character, Alessandra, is a bad girl who wants to kill the current king after she marries him so she can rule the entire kingdom. Normally the books I read have “good girls” as the MC so it’s different feel for me. Plus I have to add that this cover is gorgeous!

I just finished the audiobook (which I borrowed from my library) of a BOTM book I own called Final Girls by Riley Sager. This was Riley Sager’s first published book, and I just picked it randomly as my BOTM choice back in 2017. This book was slow at the beginning but I pushed through and it was worth it. I guessed one thing pretty early on so when that was revealed I wasn’t surprised, but the main twist towards the end I didn’t see coming. If you like thrillers this one is for you. Note: foul language and talk of sex scenes are in this book. Do not listen to in front of children.

Next up is probably going to be The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie. Reading this book will tick off a box in two challenges I’m currently involved in, the Read Christie 2021 challenge and the Beat The Backlist 2021 challenge.

Have you read any of these? Share in the comments!

  1. I wish I had known about the Agatha Christie challenge at the beginning of the year. I’m always up for having a reason to read more Christie. I’m interested in hearing what your thoughts are on the Murder of Roger Ackroyd. It is one of her books that gets a lot of hype (makes it on a lot of must-read lists), and I am not sure I feel that it is one of her best. My WWW:

    1. I am sure you can just join the challenge now, and play catch up. I will definitely be posting my thoughts on Roger Ackroyd after I finish it, because you’re right, it does get a lot of hype, lol. Thanks for popping by!
